With winter approaching, the demand for thermal coal reaches its peak. To meet energy needs during this critical period, the national railway system has recently adjusted its freight train schedule, significantly increasing coal transport capacity. This move reflects the country's commitment to addressing livelihood issues and highlights the railway sector's crucial role in ensuring national energy security and promoting economic development.

Starting October 11, the national railway implemented a new freight train operating schedule. In this new plan, the State Railway Taiyuan Bureau arranged a total of 113 direct trains for bulk goods, including 70 direct trains for power coal and 18 for other coal types. This arrangement provides a solid guarantee for the supply of thermal coal this winter. Simultaneously, the Daqin Railway operates 87 pairs of heavy-duty trains daily, including 58 pairs that carry over 20,000 tons, demonstrating strong capacity to handle the winter demand for electricity and coal transportation.

The Waari Railway is also active, running 84 pairs of cargo trains daily, including 12 pairs of 10,000-ton heavy-duty trains. The operation of these heavy trains not only improves coal transportation efficiency but also reduces costs, providing strong support for electric power production. Additionally, the Jitong Railway, Yanshi Railway, and other lines have opened 63 general cargo trains, further enhancing the main freight channel's capacity to ensure coal supply this winter.

The Jinan Bureau of the National Railway has also contributed positively to improving cross-provincial railway transportation efficiency. They have opened three direct cargo trains: one from Jixi to Nanjing East, another from Nancang to Liaocheng North, and a third from Liumiao to Xinxiang, along with 17 smaller trains from Laigang to Dongdu and Guanqiao to Shanjialin. The operation of these trains effectively addresses the "last kilometer" of coal transportation, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.

The new national railway freight schedule enhances coal transportation capacity and reflects the railway sector's responsibility in ensuring national energy security. During this critical period of winter coal transportation, the railway department has effectively alleviated transportation pressure by optimizing the schedule and increasing train frequency, thus supporting electric power production.

Furthermore, this initiative promotes stable economic development. Coal is a vital component of China's energy structure, and a stable supply is essential for national energy security and economic growth. The new freight map not only improves transportation efficiency but also reduces costs, supporting power enterprises and related industries.

In conclusion, the implementation of the new national railway freight map during this crucial period for thermal coal transportation is an important livelihood and economic project. It ensures a stable supply of thermal coal and promotes economic stability. We hope the railway sector will continue to uphold its fine traditions, innovate transportation organization, and make greater contributions to ensuring national energy security and fostering economic development.
