On the morning of July 22nd, the 2024 Summer National Coal Trading Fair was held in Ordos City. The China Coal Industry Association signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the People's Government of Ordos City. Zhang Hong, member of the Party Committee and Deputy Secretary General of the China Coal Industry Association, and Wu Jianxun, Deputy Mayor of Ordos City, signed the agreement on behalf of both parties. The signing ceremony was presided over by Liu Zhijiang, Chairman and Party Branch Secretary of China Coal Transportation and Sales Association.
Energy security is closely related to the overall economic and social development. As an important energy base of the country, Ordos is rich in coal resources, with a complete range of coal types, excellent quality, and a complete industrial system. It is one of the 14 large-scale coal bases, 9 large-scale coal-fired power bases, and 5 coal quality oil and gas strategic bases in the country.
The National Coal Fair is the oldest and most influential industry event in China's energy industry. The theme of this conference is "Ensuring Coal Safety and Stable Supply to Promote Coal Consumption Transformation and Upgrading", which not only vividly reflects the important position of coal in ensuring national energy security, but also highly fits the future trend of coal industry development in Ordos City. In order to further expand the scope of cooperation, taking this conference as an opportunity, after friendly consultations between the China Coal Industry Association and the People's Government of Ordos City, both sides have agreed to establish a more lasting and extensive cooperative relationship and jointly signed a strategic cooperation agreement.
