In the first half of the year, the high-quality development and high-level security of the energy industry were coordinated and promoted. Domestic energy production remained generally stable, energy imports remained stable, and the foundation for energy supply security was further consolidated. The energy-saving and consumption reducing effects in key areas gradually emerged. The new energy industry developed rapidly, and the overall energy consumption of society continued to grow. The proportion of clean energy consumption significantly increased, and the green and low-carbon transformation continued to accelerate.
1,Overall stable energy production
In the first half of the year, with the orderly release of advanced coal production capacity, the ability to ensure energy supply has been further improved, the decline in raw coal production has narrowed, crude oil production has steadily increased, natural gas production has reached a historical high, electricity production has accelerated year-on-year, and energy production is overall stable.
The production of raw coal is basically stable. In the first half of the year, the production of industrial raw coal above designated size was 2.27 billion tons, a year-on-year decrease of 1.7%, and the decline narrowed by 2.4 percentage points compared to the first quarter. The layout of coal production continues to be optimized, with over 80% of raw coal supplied by Shanxi, Inner Mongolia, Shaanxi, and Xinjiang.
Stable growth in oil and gas production. The situation of stable and increased oil and gas production is good, and the supply guarantee capability is steadily improving. In the first half of the year, the crude oil production of industrial enterprises above designated size was 107 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 1.9%; The natural gas production of industrial enterprises above a certain scale reached a record high of 123.6 billion cubic meters, a year-on-year increase of 6.0%.
The power production guarantee is strong. Electricity security ensures stable and orderly supply, and clean electricity maintains rapid growth. In the first half of the year, the power generation of industrial enterprises above designated size reached 4.4 trillion kilowatt hours, a year-on-year increase of 5.2% and an acceleration of 1.4 percentage points compared to the same period last year. Among them, thermal power increased by 1.7%, while hydropower, nuclear power, wind power, and solar power increased by 21.4%, 0.1%, 6.9%, and 27.1%, respectively. Clean electricity is growing rapidly. In the first half of the year, water supply resumed and hydropower increased significantly; The installed capacity of solar power generation continues to increase, and the power generation continues to maintain high-speed growth. At present, the proportion of clean electricity such as large-scale industrial hydropower, nuclear power, wind power, and solar power generation has reached 32.2%, an increase of 2.3 percentage points compared to the same period last year.
2,Energy imports remain stable
In the field of energy imports, international cooperation continues to deepen, with diverse and stable sources; Domestic demand continues to recover, and the scale of imports continues to expand. According to the data from the General Administration of Customs, in the first half of the year, imported coal reached 250 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 12.5%, a decrease of 1.4 percentage points from the first quarter; Importing 64.65 million tons of natural gas, a year-on-year increase of 14.3%, a decrease of 8.5 percentage points; Imported crude oil reached 275.48 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 2.3%, and an increase of 0.7% in the first quarter.
3,The proportion of clean energy consumption has significantly increased
Preliminary estimates show that the total energy consumption of the whole society in the first half of the year increased by about 4.7% year-on-year, a slowdown of about 0.5 percentage points compared to the first quarter. The policy effect of supporting the development of non fossil energy by the state is gradually emerging, with rapid growth in new energy consumption and continuous improvement in energy consumption structure. The proportion of clean energy consumption such as natural gas, water, nuclear, wind and solar power has increased by 2.2 percentage points compared to the same period last year, further highlighting the green and clean background of energy.
