        According to data released by the General Administration of Customs on June 7th, 2024, China imported 43.816 million tons of coal in May, an increase of 4.232 million tons compared to the same period last year, when it was 39.584 million tons, representing a growth of 10.69%. However, this figure decreased by 1.436 million tons from April's 45.252 million tons, down by 3.17%.

        From January to May 2024, China imported a total of 204.969 million tons of coal, a year-on-year increase of 12.6%.
