On August 22, a meeting on the use of lithium battery monorail cranes and small winches in the city's coal mines was held at Jinqiao Coal Mine, operated by Jining Energy Group. The meeting was attended by members of the Party group of the Municipal Energy Bureau, including Deputy Director Bien Qingwei, who also gave a speech.

The meeting emphasized that coal mining enterprises at all levels should place great importance on the safety management of monorail crane transport and avoid any complacency. It is necessary to persistently promote the elimination and upgrading of small winches. A special working group should be established to develop an implementation plan for eliminating small winches, tailored to the specific needs of each coal mine's auxiliary transportation. This plan should include scientific scheduling, clear milestones, and accelerated implementation.
Strengthening the safety management of mechanical and electrical transportation is essential. This includes raising awareness of hazards and risks and strictly implementing safety measures such as large equipment performance testing, the preparation and approval of operational procedures and safety measures, inspecting electrical equipment for explosion-proof performance, and ensuring that non-operational equipment is monitored.
There should be a focus on upgrading equipment, improving technological standards, and steadfastly implementing the strategy of "mechanization reduction and automation replacement of personnel." Investment in production safety should be increased, and processes, technologies, and equipment that do not meet safety standards and endanger production safety should be actively eliminated. These steps are intended to help coal mines achieve safe production.
During the meeting, representatives from Yankuang Energy, Jimine Group, Jinqiao Coal Mine, Liyan Coal Mine, and other units shared their experiences with lithium battery monorail cranes and management practices. They discussed the current status of small winches, existing problems, and future plans for elimination and upgrading. Additionally, the meeting reviewed the status of coal mine monorail cranes, small winches, and typical mechanical and electrical transportation issues.
In recent years, Jining Energy Group has innovated with a comprehensive process control model for its transportation system, which integrates "man, machine, environment, and pipe." By the end of 2023, the Group's coal mining enterprises had eliminated small winches from auxiliary transportation roadways and are now operating more than 50 lithium battery monorail cranes. These efforts have yielded positive results and produced several replicable and promotable cases.
Moving forward, Jining Energy Group will further enhance its management mechanisms, strengthen safety technology management, improve lithium battery monorail field management, personnel quality management, and intelligent transportation management, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the monorail transportation system.
The meeting was attended by the relevant person in charge of the city's coal mine safety production monitoring center, representatives from the group company, and the heads of auxiliary transportation for the coal mines.
